The chart above shows the almost identical action in the stock market that occurred during the crash of 1987 and then over the past couple of days ('87 is in red and 2011 is in blue). Like I said earlier, I do not believe we are going to fall back in to a recession, but we are in a period of inconsistent and volatile movement in the stock market.
