Bout Time For A Holiday Weekend!

Well, as I and some of the other money managers I work with suggested, the week finished up with a couple of nasty down days...the reasons why?  There are a plethora of reasons (as I've mentioned here) for why the markets have sold off over the past couple of days; expecting such and experiencing what we expected does not in any way make it easier to deal with, stocks that go down in price are stocks that go down in price - it doesn't matter if that's what we thought would happen or not...the important thing is to focus on the fundamentals (corporate profits, business growth, insider buying, etc) of the stocks that you own, and then try to understand why the "market" acts like it does...

Nonetheless, I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.  And I know almost everything I focus on and discuss on this website deals with the stock market and the economy, BUT let us continue to remember what is most important in life...family, faith, health, friends, and happiness.

And don't forget, college football season is now upon us!  Good luck to all the USC and Clemson fans out there...(and don't forget about those Wofford Terriers).
