No one likes being the last one at a party, especially when they've taken the punch bowl away...as I've been pounding the table lately, this is not a stock market where you buy stocks and just hold them for the long haul. That is unless you're owning them for specific reasons such as buyout targets or high dividend yielders. As I sit here looking at my computers, the stock market is starting to move down in price. Now I'm not saying that the markets are going to finish down on the day, but what I am saying is that we still have a lot of moving parts in this markets, and right now I don't feel all that comfortable sitting on what I have and not taking short term profits.
Remember it's ok to sell stocks you've bought recently for small gains, because chances are good that you'll be able to buy them back again at the same price you bought them previously if not lower. It's all about knowing when it's time to go...
