As of this post, the markets are up about 1.5%, with the financials leading the way. Citigroup is up over 5.7%, SunTrust Financial is up 4.6%, and Etrade is up 5.28% (all three stocks of which I own). The financials are performing so well today because there is hope that Europe will soon reach a compromise on how the effectively control and stabilize the European Financial system...ummm, wait a minute. How many times have we heard this kind of "hope" out of Europe? Basically, I don't trust it or the markets right now. Today marks the 7th day in a row that the markets have been up, and lets face it, now is a great time to take whatever profits you may have and move that money back into cash and wait for a decent selloff to occur before you choose to reinvest that money.
Be careful, be nimble, and take profits when you have them.
