There's not much going on in the markets this morning. There have been a mix earnings releases that have come out but nothing that's really market moving. Two big technology companies, Netflix and Amazon are trading down huge after releasing their earnings (Netflix was yesterday and Amazon this morning).
Taking a look across the pond to Europe, the markets are on hold as the EU summit in Brussells comes up. The German Parliament passed a vote that gave Chancellor Merkel the ability to freely negotiate with other EU countries when they meet at the upcoming summit. This was not a big surprise for the markets as it was already expected that the measure would pass and all it basically did was give the Chancellor a vote of confidence in her negotiations.
So all in all, the markets are on hold as everyone is focused on the upcoming summit and how the negotiations will go...
