In my previous post, I failed to mention a development that has me concerned of late. The situation between Iran and Israel has become more troublesome over the past 48 hours. The article I'm attaching the link to below shows how hostile things are becoming, not only in the middle east but also with respect to U.S. involvement there. Not mentioned in the article, is the fact that Iran has sentenced an American citizen to death on claims that the former military officer was a spy (despite word out of Washington and from his family that he was visiting family members). This is troublesome as it could add to already high tensions between the U.S. and Iran. If things get out of control over there, the flow of oil out of the region could be disrupted and therefore the cost of oil and gas will increase, which would serve as a tax on the American consumer and become a headwind to economic growth.
Keep an eye on what's happening between Iran and Israel as the situation could be similar to a powder keg.
