Where Are We Now

I didn't write last week for several reasons...
- the uncertainty surrounding the jobs numbers (which were weak)
- the economic data that we were waiting for out of China (which showed that the Chinese economy has slowed more so than was expected); check out this article from cnbc.com
http://www.cnbc.com/id/48116307
- tensions in the Middle East between Israel and Iran (this is a big concern of mine as stability in this region of the world could severly disrupt stocks and economies around the world - not to mention the price of oil which has been on the decline over the past month)
- dare I forget the ongoing and frustrating financial crisis that is occuring in Europe; despite the EU summit that was held, and despite efforts on behalf of the European Union's leaders to work together to contain the problem, little progress has been made.

I've written over the past 2 1/2 weeks about how I wanted to move more money into the markets by buying some high dividend yielding companies...I have yet to do so but I've compiled a list of stocks that I have on my watch list to buy at some point soon.
